Auto Body, 2017  |  Automobile Parts, Motor Oil, and Work Lights

Auto Body considers the elevation of objects that are not of the gallery but of the garage. The project consists of three sculptures of automobile parts; an engine, hood, and axel. The car parts substitutes for the body of the working class immigrant familiar from my upbringing in East Los Angeles, a community immersed in car culture.
